Short information

The exhibition BRIDGES - engineer construction art opened originally on July 11 2002 at the former GDR Council of State Building at Schlossplatz, Berlin, on the occasion of the XXI World Congress of Architecture. It focuses on the achievements of bridge construction in Germany and documents the creative potential of the bridge engineers, with the aim of awakening interest in the subject. A variety of media, including illustrated panels, models, videos and construction elements, convincingly demonstrate technical, aesthetic and transport planning solutions based on some sixty bridges in Germany.
